Old teapots, cups, and saucers make lovely, whimsicalimage plant stakes.

imageI went picking at two different junk shops today. I brought home a lot of promising pieces.

I noticed my neighbor weeding her lovely yard. She lives in a beautiful old craftsman era home. I am in love with it. I introduced myself and she graciously let me use her garden as a backdrop for my whimsey photos.imageimage

I am rocking on my front porch watching the rain fall.  There is a sweet scent wafting in the breeze that I am enjoying. I am at peace.              image

Earlier this week I posted two whimsies on eBay.  Today, I put semi teen whimsies on consignment at a lovely, quaint boutique.  This time last year I was devastated over my recent Parkinson’s diagnosis.  It is amazing that I have grown so much in a year’s time.  I never heard of whimsies until this past April, now I love making them.  I have made fun online friends on food.com where I have learned so much about creative cooking.  I have always been close to my husband, but now there is a new sweetness between us.  Everyday I feel blessed…I know what hope is…I feel cherished.

It was hard to part with this one! I hope someone will give it a good home.

Bird-feeder

This dainty feeder is made from blue and white glass and china.

  • I have a new clothesline.  After years of using a clothes dryer, I have forgotten the peaceful alone time hanging freshly laundered clothes on a line could be.  The sun was bright, the birds were chirping, and there was a summer breeze.  I spread out a towel on the ground and fell asleep.  When I awakened, I could see the clothes waving in the breeze against a blue sky.
